What makes the Hyper Heat different from the standard DIY 5th Gen?
The Hyper Heat is built for cold climates. It heats reliably down to -22°F (vs. -13°F on the standard 5th Gen) and has a higher HSPF2-4 of 11.0 (vs. 8.5–10.0 on standard models). If you live in a northern climate with harsh winters, the Hyper Heat is the right choice.
Does this unit use a standard line set?
No — this unit uses a 1/2" suction line (vs. 3/8" on smaller units). The included 25 ft. QuickConnect® line set is pre-sized for this unit. If you need a longer run, make sure any additional line set uses 1/2" suction.
Does this qualify for tax credits or rebates?
