Hard to beat the price or quality! Wow!

I wanted to buy an induction cooktop to finally replace a very old radiant electric cooktop but really floored by the price of Bosch, Thermador and the other big names. I found the Thor model and really curious because of the price. Well, the cooktop functions really well and can’t say anything bad! The price is incredible. I would highly recommend this product because I see no difference in quality. The double griddle burner is excellent as is the large burner. I like the controls and the layout. I will consider other Thor products as needed in the future.

Controls difficult to use

This 30” induction cooktop was new in a house we recently purchased. I used an induction range at my old house prior to this. Pro: smooth top, easy to wipe clean Con: settings are not backlit and very difficult to read w/o a bright light. Two separate touches are necessary to change power setting, unlike a knob which is far simpler and doesn’t require scrutinizing the numbers. Because it is difficult to see, it is easy to inadvertently lock the cooktop (hopefully will get used to this with familiarity. Overall, would greatly prefer knob controls.

Just what I wanted

I had an electric top before and it got so hot and never could cool down to a simmer. It was frustrating at times. I bought an induction cook plate for Black Friday a few years ago and have been using that primarily since then. I finally broke down and bought this so I can stop having to haul that plate in and out every time I wanted to cook something. I love it. It's just what I wanted and the price was right.
